Wanna know something that's quite irksome?
Trying to [check your Facebook, post a review to your blog/LibraryThing/Shelfari/Goodreads, find Spanish newspaper articles, have an IM conversation with your friends, read xkcd, browse baby name websites for a good character name -- take your pick] when the internet is determined not to work for more than four or five seconds at a time.
When you think about it, it's a little frightening how much stuff we entrust to technology that's so finicky.
