Ahh, packing is such fun. I simply adore packing. The thrill of laying things out neatly and then fitting them into a suitcase and knowing that you haven't forgotten anything...what could be more fun?
Ahem. Please excuse me for a moment while I vomit.
In case you missed it, that opening paragraph was nothing but straight sarcasm. I hate packing. Hate, loathe, detest, despise. I always manage to forget something, and nothing ever goes into the suitcase neatly. I adore traveling, but packing, not so much.
Nonetheless, I am packing right now. For a weekend-long trip to Georgia. Specifically, to a rental house in Georgia where there will be no internet access.
Well, if I was concerned about blogging addiction, I suppose I've just found a temporary cure, anyway.
As of right now, I think I've managed to get all of my clothes together. In terms of hygiene, well, I'm making a list. Hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. etc., I'll not go on. And then the technology: cell phone, iPod, laptop.
It's the iPod that will help me survive the hours-long car trip with my family. Recent favorites are On the Radio by Regina Spektor and, believe it or not, I Just Can't Wait to Be King from the Lion King. (Disney is awesome.) So I'll leave you with those, and also with a video that amused me greatly during Spanish class. The Spanish version of "I Like to Move It Move It" from the film Madagascar. Go watch it.
That's all for now, folks. More when I return.
Until Monday,
Bex
